But what does that actually mean?
FSC paper carries the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification. This is an international certification for wood products, including paper. The organization works to promote responsible forest management.
They ensure that FSC-certified forests are well-maintained, that sufficient new trees are planted, and that the working conditions for forest workers are fair and safe.
For the binding and finishing of books and catalogues, materials such as thread and laminate are used, which is why FSC-certified books carry the FSC Mix label.
