What is a linen book?

If you want to create an exclusive look for your book, a linen cover is one of the options you can choose. There is a wide range of linen colors available – from fairly bright to pastel – and we would be happy to advise you.

The choice of linen color for this book is perfectly matched with the combination of two foil stamping colors, creating a great contrast. It is also possible to apply more than two foil colors to the linen cover.

Linen Cover Specifications

It’s important to note that linen is only available for hardcover books. The most essential specification is the color of the linen. In almost all cases, it’s possible to request a sample of the linen from us, and if that’s exceptionally not possible, we can certainly send you a photo.

It’s advisable to determine the linen color during the quotation phase to allow enough time to check availability. Since a hardcover has endpapers, you may choose the color of the endpapers in combination with the linen color.

Additionally, you can select a color for the headband, where the book block is glued. This way, you can create a cover and appearance that are perfectly coordinated in terms of color, with the different components enhancing each other through the chosen combination. Learn more
